Rime Frost

Angel 2025

The pattern can be stitched as a single motif or repeated to create an all-over design.

It is embroidered on linen with 8 threads per cm.

  • A napkin measures approx. 17 x 17 cm.
  • A table runner, where the motif is repeated 24 times to form a full surface, measures approx. 58 x 38 cm.

The embroidery is done using full cross stitches with two strands of thread.
The thread used is flora cotton from fru zippe, color no. 157.

Of course, you are welcome to choose a different thread color if you prefer.

    • The marguerites are embroidered with backstitch using black flora-cotton no. 341
    • The border is embroidered with outline stitch and square stitch using red flora-cotton no. 197
  • Stitching: Use 1 strand of flora-cotton in the needle

Grass Table Runner

Embroidered on 8-thread linen fabric

Thread:
This pattern can be embroidered using either flora-cotton or DMC thread:

  • OO: flora-cotton no. 111 / DMC no. 989
  • XX: flora-cotton no. 324 / DMC no. 3052
  • MM: flora-cotton no. 452 / DMC no. 772

flora-cotton is embroidered with two strands in the needle.

To complete the pattern, four pieces of linen thread are tied in the center of each motif. Use a leftover thread in a matching color.

All stitches are full cross-stitches.

Napkins (30 x 30 cm and 19 x 19 cm). Made on linen canvas (8 threads/cm) with flora-cotton (2 threads in the needle). The edge of the bows is embroidered with back stitches.

Decide for yourself whether or how the bows should be decorated.

Angels and Spruce

This year’s angels are embroidered on linen canvas (8 threads per cm). Flora-cotton from fru zippe (no. 502), embroidered with 2 threads in the needle. Contour stitches and half cross stitches have been used. Finished dimensions approx. 39 x 39 cm.

Pink plastic spruce branches embroidered on linen canvas (8 threads per cm).
DMC dark (no. 602) and light (no. 818), embroidered with 2 sub-threads in the needle.
Whole cross-stitches have been used. Finished dimensions approx. 30 x 30 cm.

Black Lace

This design is inspired by my dinnerware.

The pattern is repeated 20 times. The lace on the outside is embroidered at the end.
Finished dimensions approx. 37 x 80 cm. Embroidered on linen canvas (8 threads/cm).
Whole cross stitches and back stitches have been used. Made with 1 thread in the needle, using flora cotton nr 341 from fru zippe.

Red Sports Cars

Red sports cars for the bread basket. Finished dimensions approx. 18.5 x 18.5 cm.

Made on linen canvas (8 threads/cm) with flora-cotton from fruzippe. Use 2 threads in the needle. Whole cross stitches and back stitches have been used. The colors are red 198, gray 121 and black 341.

The striped embroidery in the background is made with 4 half cross stitches in width, also with double thread in the needle. There are 10 threads between the stripes.
