Leaves

Finished size: approximately 22 × 39 cm (8¾ × 15⅜ inches).

The embroidery is stitched on linen fabric with 8 threads per cm (approximately 20-count linen).

The design is worked with flora-cotton and silver thread, using 2 strands in the needle.

The pattern includes full cross stitches, half cross stitches, and backstitches.

The pattern chart is repeated six times to create a continuous design. This makes it easy to adjust the size of the embroidery, allowing you to make it either smaller or larger to suit your project.

The inspiration for this design came from the leaves of one of the oldest roses in my garden. Their beautiful shapes and delicate details formed the basis of the pattern.

The small embroidered decoration featuring roses and leaves is stitched on a leftover piece of canvas using assorted leftover threads—a lovely way to give embroidery materials a second life.

The embroidery pattern is free to download.

Enjoy your stitching!

Pleated Oak

Some years ago, our old oak tree was felled. I saved a few small pieces. They now form a pattern on this small tablecloth. The pattern is made with full and half cross stitches, back stitches and contour stitches on linen canvas. Finished size is approx. 27 x 27 cm. I am very happy about the result!
