Rime Frost

This delicate free design captures the beauty of frost crystals and icy blossoms, inspired by the shimmering patterns that winter leaves on windows. The motif has a light, crystalline feel, perfect for a seasonal decoration or as part of a larger embroidery piece.

It is stitched on 8-thread linen using 2 strands of flora-cotton. The pattern combines full cross stitch, half cross stitch, and backstitch, giving the design both structure and fine detail.

A table runner made with DMC yarn scraps in various brown and golden colors. A few white stripes give some light to the embroidery.

The stripes are embroidered with contour stitches and the flower with whole and half cross stitches. Everything is embroidered with 2 threads in the needle.

Made on linen canvas (8 threads/cm), and the finished dimensions are approx. 128 x 23 cm.
