Christmas Tree Carpet

This Christmas tree carpet was designed in 1991. Originally, the pattern was hand drawn, and I’ve recently made a computerized version with all the little details (like the many needles). Size, approx. 142 x 142 cm. Stitched with woolen thread on hessian fabric using cross stitches, and long stitches for the needles.

One corner of the carpet (they’re all the same).
The original, hand-drawn design from 1991.

Christmas

Use this as a tablecloth or, as shown, a runner. Size approx. 124 x 75 cm. Stitched on linen (10 threads pr. cm.) with flora-cotton (1 thread), or DMC (two threads) using cross, back, contour, and quadratic stitches. Continue the pattern all the way to the edges of the linen.

Circles

Circles.

Circles in Circles within Circles … is the central idea here. The colors vary from black to charcoal to light grey to white, adding cobber and silver.

Measurement of Pattern: Diameter 29 cm (8-thread linen)
Measurement of Tablecloth: 70 x 70 cm

The Tablecloth is sewn with double yarn (2 threads in the needle).
On the picture, the Tablecloth is decorated with Chocolate Flowers (Cosmos Atrosanguineus), from my garden.
