A long, drawn-out pattern of lace inspired stitchings in orange thread, this tablecloth or runner reminds me of age old traditions as they have been practice for hundreds of years in this country. This is simply my interpretation of that which reminds me of these traditions.
The pattern can be repeated to the length you desire. Each section is 17 cm wide and 14 long if sewn on 10 thread/cm linen. You can also use the extra edge pattern to adjust or combine everything into that which you would like. Enjoy everything!
This pattern is meant to look like enlarged fibres. The runners finished size is approx. 128 x 17.5 cm, and it is stitched onto linen, 10 threads/cm.
I’ve designed this pattern to be repeated nine times across the whole surface. The finished size of the tablecloth is approx. 58 x 58 cm, and it is stitched onto linen, 10 threads pr. cm.

This abstract “candy color” runner was made on linen (8 threads pr cm, size 19.5cm x 65cm).
I made the design for this pillow on a hot summer day. Yet, the pillow was intended as a “winter’s tale”, accompanied by ice lanterns in the snow. I’m very pleased with the result!
Made with a double thread on linen – 8 threads/cm. Size about 22 x 22 cm.

Based on the glass bowls from last weeks post. For the opaque glass I used normal cross stitches. The transparent glass effect was done using backstitches and half stitches. Tablerunner, ca. 16 x 16 cm on linen, 10 thread pr. cm.
My third bowl
These small bowls were my first attempts at working with float glass. I like the finished work. Also, all fingers are intact.
The blue bowl is decorated with seagulls (not angels). The seagulls were drawn directly onto the blue colored powder. The transparent edge was easy to make. I just had to whipe/remove the colored powder with my fingers.
After the second bowl (the white/orange), I were back in the world of cross stitching. This was like creating patterns with colored glass instead of needle and thread.
The third bowl inspired me to create a new cross stitch pattern, which is almost finished.
I look forward to do more work in this exciting way.

An oval-shaped pattern to match the shapes of vases and ceramics. The pattern reminds me of the tracks of a model railway.

I’ve chosen to base my angel for 2013 on a square grid theme. I have used bright colors and a dark silver thread for the pattern.
